- Deliveroo supports Pride in London giving riders a chance to earn as parade stewards
- Deliveroo launches Ride with Pride kit around the world
London, 4 June: In celebration of World Pride Month, Deliveroo will be letting customers update their Deliveroo app to Deloveroo on their home screen. The British food delivery company will also be giving its riders the chance to get paid to help support on-the-day teams at Britain's biggest free Pride event, which attracts over 1million tourists to the capital.
This year, Deliveroo is for the first time offering its riders in central London the chance to join the Pride celebrations and continue to earn cash throughout the day. Deliveroo riders will be able to take part and support the parade teams helping to facilitate one of the capital's biggest events of the year. Deliveroo will be reaching out to riders in June offering them the opportunity to sign up as a parade steward on July 6th and get paid for their time, as not everyone can afford to volunteer, giving Deliveroo's diverse fleet of riders an opportunity to deliver pride to Brits this year.
Joe Groves at Deliveroo said "This is our third year of partnering with Pride in London and after learning that on-the-day volunteers are so important to the event, we knew that we didn't want to be just another brand with a rainbow logo. Whilst visibility is crucial in the promotion of LGBT+ rights we wanted to ensure we valuably contributed to the event that means so much to so many".
"We are pleased to welcome Deliveroo for a third year. Our partners play an important role for us and it's great to see an innovative way for drivers to help deliver Pride said Dan O'Gorman, Strategic Partnerships Director, Pride in London.
For the third year, the food delivery company will be rebranding to Deloveroo, encompassing the business's core values of diversity and inclusion. Customers who have the app downloaded will have the option to update the logo to Deloveroo throughout Pride month.
Deliveroo has also launched a limited edition Deloveroo rider kit, which will be available for all riders who sign up to support the Pride parade and will be distributed across the globe to Deliveroo's international markets.
